It is with great honour and privilege that I invite you to attend the Second International Scientific Congress of the Australasian Hernia Society on 8-10 April 2011 at the Palazzo Versace Hotel, Gold Coast.
Despite hernia repair being the most commonly performed procedure in general surgery, the gold standard has not yet been achieved. The local organising committee has worked tirelessly to create a scientific programme that will appeal to all general surgeons. Stimulating debates will be chaired by world renowned surgeons in hernia surgery including office bearers of the European, American and Asia Pacific Hernia Societies.
The Gold Coast will provide a wonderful environment for delegates and their families to enjoy the sun, sea, sand and surf and a perfect opportunity for networking and camaraderie.
